Allot is an envelope budget tracker that runs entirely inside your browser. No account, no tracking, no unencrypted data ever leaving your device.
One-time $49. No subscription. · Free tier: no credit card, no email
Most apps demand your bank login, charge monthly, and profit from your data. Allot was built as the alternative.
Auto-sync sounds convenient. It requires handing your bank credentials to a startup. When they get hacked, your accounts are exposed.
$5–14/month adds up to $60–168/year. For a spreadsheet replacement. Your data is the product that justifies the price.
Where you shop, what you earn, how much you spend on medicine — all sitting in a database you don't control, subject to data breaches and policy changes.
No forms, no verification, no waiting. Your first budget is live before your tea gets cold.
Savings, current, credit card. Set an opening balance. Nothing leaves the app.
Groceries: $400. Rent: $1,200. Entertainment: $100. Envelope budgeting — the method that actually works.
Add transactions manually, or import your bank's CSV statement. Allot auto-categorizes Amazon, Netflix, Starbucks — without you teaching it each time.
A quick walkthrough. No sign-up, no sales call.
Built for real household budgeting — not financial dashboards that look impressive and change nothing.
Allocate income to categories at the start of each month. See exactly what's left in each envelope before you spend. The method used by people who actually get out of debt.
FreeDownload your statement from Chase, Barclays, HDFC, CommBank — or any bank worldwide. Allot maps the columns, detects duplicates, and imports in seconds.
PremiumStarbucks → Coffee. Uber → Transport. Netflix → Subscriptions. Allot recognizes hundreds of merchants globally and learns your custom payees over time.
FreeSet salary, rent, and EMIs once. They appear automatically each month — no manual entry, no forgotten bills.
FreeBar charts by category. Six-month trend lines. See where the money actually goes — not where you think it goes.
PremiumUnspent grocery money carries to next month automatically. Overspent? That debt carries forward too. No hiding from the numbers.
FreeTrack the outstanding balance separately. Transfers between accounts don't double-count as spending. Finally, credit cards that make sense in a budget.
FreeAdd to your iPhone or Android home screen. Works completely offline. Feels like a native app — no App Store, no Play Store, no permissions.
FreeExport everything to a single file. Restore on any device. You own the data — not us.
FreeEvery design decision in Allot starts with one question: can this work without sending your readable data to a server? Almost always, the answer is yes. Your budget lives on your device — not in someone else's cloud. Turn on sync and your data is scrambled on your device first, so even we can't read it.

Allot is an installable PWA. It caches itself after the first load and runs with no internet connection. Or download a single HTML file and open it from your desktop — no install, no browser, no network.
Open Allot in Chrome or Safari, then use ⋮ → Install App (Chrome/Edge) or Share → Add to Home Screen (iOS). Launches standalone, works fully offline.
Open app →One allot-offline.html file with everything bundled inside. Open it from your desktop in any modern browser. All premium features unlocked — no account, no internet, no expiry.
Cloud Sync is not available in the offline file (it needs a server). Everything else — CSV import, auto-backup, receipts, reports — works identically.
Correct. Open the app, pick your currency, and start. No email, no phone number, no Google sign-in. The only thing that touches a server is your license key when you activate Premium — and even that is a single request that we don't log.
Premium users: auto-backup runs every 30 minutes in the background and saves an encrypted .allot file to a folder you choose (OneDrive, Dropbox, iCloud, etc.). You're covered without thinking about it. Premium also includes encrypted cloud sync, so your data is available on any device automatically.
Free users: export a backup manually (Menu → Export) before clearing. It's a single encrypted file — save it to Google Drive, iCloud, or a USB drive. Import it on any device and your full history comes back instantly. We recommend doing this once a week — it takes two seconds.
Yes. On iPhone: open in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android: open in Chrome, tap the three dots → Install App. It installs like a native app, works offline, and doesn't go through the App Store.
Premium: encrypted cloud sync — enable it once and your budget stays in sync across all your devices automatically. Your data is scrambled on your device before it leaves, so the server only ever holds an unreadable copy and can't see your transactions or balances.
Free: export your backup from one device (Menu → Export), copy the file across, and import it on the other. Your full budget history transfers instantly. It's a manual step, but your financial data never touches a server.
Instead of an account, Allot generates a random sync code for you. It isn't looked up in a database or handed out by a server — it's 128 bits of cryptographic randomness, so the odds of two people ever landing on the same code are astronomically small. It's the same math that keeps encryption keys unique.
That code does two jobs at once: it encrypts your budget on your own device before anything is uploaded, and it's the only thing that can decrypt it. To use a second device, you enter the same code there and it decrypts locally — so you share it through whatever channel you consider secure (a password manager, for example). The server only ever holds scrambled data it can't read, and because there's no account, there's no login to phish and nothing for us to leak.
Allot auto-detects the column structure from any CSV or TXT file. It also supports OFX, QIF, MT940, and CAMT.053 — formats used by banks across the US, UK, Europe, Australia, and India. If your bank's format isn't recognized, the column-mapping wizard lets you assign columns manually in under a minute.
No. It is a one-time payment. Pay once, use forever — including all future updates. There is no subscription, no annual renewal, and no price that changes after you buy. The checkout price also adjusts automatically for your country via purchasing power parity.
14 days, full refund, no questions asked. Email [email protected] with your order number and we'll process it the same day.
Envelope budgeting means assigning every dollar (or pound, or rupee) of income to a category before you spend it — Groceries: $400, Rent: $1,200, Entertainment: $100. When the envelope is empty, you stop (or consciously move money from another envelope).
It works because it makes trade-offs visible. Instead of "did I overspend this month?", the question becomes "do I move money from Entertainment to cover this dinner?" That's a very different, more intentional conversation to have with yourself.
Free to try. No sign-up. No credit card. Your financial data stays private.
